Background

My motivation in this particular field of Community Based Tourism (CBT) is based on the belief that I can contribute to the empowerment and capacity building of economically poor people. The combination of my immense experience as (a field archaeologist) safeguarder and protector of cultural heritage in a number of African countries and my qualifications as a communication trainer provides me with the necessary means to respond to the specific issues raised in relation to guides in CBT.
